I stopped here by chance, being in the area for other reasons. I was very impressed with the service. The food was good, withe sizable portions. I was there for lunch. The iced tea was oversteeped, but it's very hard to find really good iced tea anywhere.

Went for the Hibachi with family and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The chef at the grill did a great job cooking everything perfect and put on a nice show. The menu is extensive but the waitress offered recommendations for both appetizer rolls, the Hibachi, and drinks.Quality of food was good for the price, and the quantity was quite a lot; be ready for a to-go box.Definitely a must try if you're in the area and haven't had hibachi before. Great for small to medium sized group. There is a restaurant side too if you're not feeling up for a show.

I had an amazing time with my friend and they were very accomedating even though we arrived less than an hour before they closed. The spider roll was awesome and the shrimp tempura appetizer is a must! Great service as well....I couldn't have been any more pleased, thank you!

Even though it was New Year's Eve and PACKED, were we able to get a table with minimal wait. Our server, Kayla, was terrific and the food was fantastic! They also had a 3 piece band playing, I'm sorry I don't know their name, but they were really, really good!

Typical Japanese Steakhouse - we ate at the hibachi but also ordered sushi. A bit more expensive than other Japanese restaurants with the same food and service. Nothing stood out to make this place better/worse that other restaurants. I understand it is as great place for happy hour, but we went on a Saturday for lunch.

Great restaurant! Came in for New year's eve dinner. Great entertainment and awesome food. The food was cooked at the table on a grill and everything was so good. I had filet, vegetables, rice and noodles. The chef was entertaining and very good at cooking. I would recommend this restaurant to others! Enjoy

Had a great time at our Annual Peeps After Christmas, Christmas Dinner. The chefs are so much fun! Food and drinks are delicious! We always get the hibachi!

Questions & Answers

You can get hibachi without meat and there is also vegetarian sushi options and I think a tofu dish or two.

Well Sharla, let me tell you. They have got the best darn Chateaubriand in the midwest, and that's saying something. Have you ever dreamed of a more creamy and delectable cut of meat than the one that you'll find at Shinto's? No. No you haven't. I'll bet my life on the statement that you will never, not in your lifetime, ever find a better Chateaubiand.

Yes they serve chicken

Happy hour is Monday- Friday 3-6pm, Saturday 2-5pm. The menu includes select appetizers and sushi up to half price. See the full menu at Shintorestaurants.com.

I don't believe they do...

No, no, no, Robert. If Lisa turns to you in a time of distress and asks you a question that she may be in dire need of knowing, can you contemplate the answer of, "Just call them," to satisfy her?
